Drug overdose is common and happens to those who have had enough of life itself. Many families have this problem.

Drug Addiction

The blame is often on the person involved with the intake of drugs. Those who choose the path of drugs to avoid pain usually become addicted to a substance.

As young as twelve, an individual began using various drugs. It is sad to see or know of someone in those moments.

The most intelligent people can end up living on the streets after drug use.

The lack of parental love, or parental control, is the cause of many issues, including the use of drugs in a child's life.

When children get involved with a certain age group or become independent lots can change in their lives.

In most cases, the change is not in a good direction. Most parents feel the need to draw a line and wonder where their children are at every time.

Is it a good idea to stay away from your child's life even when they do become adults?

Even the good kids try drugs at school and pretend they do not know about any type of drugs. Irrespective of the good or bad kid when it comes to experimenting with drugs anyone can try it.

You should not alienate your child as a parent, and you should show love and care always. It does not mean if your child is presented with drugs that they will take the option.

You should be part of your child's life and trust your child providing they do not lie to you about their time away with friends.

No matter, how old they are, you still have a chance to make it clear to your child the effects of drugs.

You cannot always avoid the wrong, but you can prevent it. You must do is say NO to drugs and have the willpower to control your urges.

Do not think that people who take drugs are weak it is their way of avoiding a traumatic experience or something that they couldn't cope with.

It is not about the character of the individual it is more about the abuse of drugs. Drug addiction has become a disease to the actual person.

The person cannot stop taking the drug because the brain becomes altered to the activity of drug taking. Drugs become a new addition to the brain cells.

You must bear in mind that drug addiction, is a serious note of illness to one involved in this activity. A drug addict should not wait too long to get treatment. If the individual waits, it can be fatal to the drug addict.

When treated, it must be with medication. You can treat the patient with drugs, even though they are drug addicts.

She lost control of her son due to single parenting and raised him based on an easy standard of life.

As a mother, she felt that was a better way of showing love to her child what she did not see coming was her worst nightmare.

A single working mother who did her best for her son, but that was not appreciated by him.

He lied to her each time about being robbed of his clothing, or valuables. The child had bought drugs, and alcohol with the money after selling his belongings.

Drugs and alcohol got the better of him, and the mother did not see this right away. Alcohol and drugs became his focus, and he did follow in his father's footsteps. With no father figure in his life, he gave up on loving his dad and himself.

· ''Like father, like son.''

· Do you think Marijuana should be legalized and is it safe to use for any age group?

The intake of Marijuana is dangerous for kids, if freely available this entices many children to freely use it.

The boy had friends who did whatever they liked to do.

He formed his line of friends.

If you treat drug use as a criminal problem, you will not solve the problem. Focus on the issue as an addiction. She did not know how to handle the problem with her son.

He lost everything she had worked for including her home and business. A difficult son who lacked parental love and parental control.

She did not have her son. Parental love, or attention is lacking in this boy's life, and the mother constantly compares him to his father's character.

The individual becomes psychologically hurt and physically weak when the drug is no longer in use. Children who use drugs secretly and come from loving homes surprise their parents with their behaviours.

· For example:

She was a freshman and was using drugs without the knowledge of her parents. When the parents did find out, it was too late.

Their daughter was found dead in her college room. It was terrifying to finally know the truth about their loving daughter.

Good parents have drug-addicted children and are not always heard of. No matter the background you come from you are faced with many challenges in life.

Never feel ashamed of the problem you have with your children.

It is not a time ever to make harsh judgments on such individuals. If you lack coping skills drug use can be a hard one to let, go off.

To mask pain one can try drug use to feel numbed and high with a sense of being in another world. Lies and stealing become a problem with drug addicts. The boy turned against his mother and treated her horribly.

The more you use a drug the better you feel at least that is what you think at the time of use. If you are not an addict of any kind you will never understand this disease making judgment is an option.

· Do you feel sorry for a drug addict?

  • A drug addict becomes hopeless and frustrated with life.
  • They must get what makes them feel the best.
  • The behaviour is unpredictable.
  • Generally, the individual is free to do whatever they want to.
  • After all, they are in their right set of minds when offered the drug.
  • Parents should not feel pressured to talk about drugs to their children learning starts at home.

There is no end to such conversations.

  • Never say NEVER to your child about the intake of any substance.
  • Eventually, they will figure it out and consume more than you had expected. Restrictions just add more to it.
  • You should not put too many restrictions on raising your child.
  • The moment you try to restrict your child from anything in life they tend to do exactly what you do not want them to do.
